【在美推出】１９６７年１０月１８日 【片長時間】 約７９分鐘 【作品類別】 迪士尼第１９部經典動畫，長篇劇情動畫片 【特殊紀錄】 華特迪士尼生前最後一部製作的長篇動畫片 【原著取材】 取材自 Rudyard Kipling 的小說 【內容介紹】 本片故事敘述一位名叫 Mowgli 的小男孩，從小被狼群收養，在森林中長大，後來因為邪惡的老虎 Shere Khan 重返森林，這隻老虎十分痛恨人類，因此 Mowgli 的動物朋友們覺得 Mowgli 必須回到人類村落才可避開危險，但是 Mowgli 卻想繼續留在森林裡生活，不願意回到人類的世界去，於是在途中逃跑，展開許多驚異的冒險。本片音樂部分的製作過程頗為曲折，負責配樂的 George Bruns 大膽採用迪士尼未曾用過的爵士樂及現代民謠樂風，並且找來頗富盛名的 Terry Gilkyson 寫歌，但是華特迪士尼認為音樂太過忠於原味，缺乏以往迪士尼動畫特有的詼諧氣氛，所以他後來找夏曼兄弟接手寫歌，故最後片中只有一首“The Bare Necessities”是由 Terry Gilkyson 所創作的歌曲。然而，在１９６６年１２月１５日，華特迪士尼因病過世，所以他並未看到本片上映，這也是他最後的遺作。當本片上映時，立刻開出亮麗的票房，對於影迷來說，這也是為動畫史上這位不朽人物的一種悼念吧！ 文章來源 The Bare NecessitiesLook for the bare necessities The simple bare necessities Forget about your worries and your strife I mean the bare necessities Old Mother Nature's recipes That bring the bare necessities of life Wherever I wander, wherever I roam I couldn't be fonder of my big home The bees are buzzin' in the tree To make some honey just for me When you look under the rocks and plants And take a glance at the fancy ants Then maybe try a few The bare necessities of life will come to you They'll come to you!
